General Information for Parents
School begins at 9:20a.m. and ends at 3:00p.m. (2:00p.m. for infants)

Book Loan Scheme

The school operates a book rental scheme within all classes. Each child contributes a set amount of money at the beginning of the school year. The purpose of this scheme is to keep parents expenses to a minimum.


Healthy Eating
Healthy eating is strongly encouraged within our school so that pupils develop positive eating habits. Nutritious lunches will include sandwiches, fruit/vegetables and yoghurts. On Fridays children are allowed to include a treat in their lunches. The school milk scheme is available and parents will be notified of the cost each term.

Little Buddies

In close proximity to the school there is a newly developed childcare centre that provides a well supervised before and after school club. Little Buddies services are also available during school holidays and all school closures.

School Uniform
The school uniform is as follows:

• a blue v-neck jumper/cardigan
• a light blue shirt/polo shirt
• navy trousers/skirt/pinafore
• navy tie

P.E. Kit

• Blue crested sweatshirt (availabe in Lavins, Ballymote)
• Light blue polo shirt
• Navy tracksuit bottoms

Transport Provision
The school bus drops and collects the pupils at the school gate.

Staff

We have a teaching staff of seven. This includes a Principal,Release Time Teacher,two shared Learning Support Teachers and a Teaching Principal, one Special Needs Assistant, a part-time secretary and cleaner are also part of our school community.
